Common coverage questions

Check with your HR department or your employee benefits portal. Legal insurance is a group benefit — if your employer offers it, you are likely enrolled unless you opted out. You can also search your email for your provider name (ARAG, MetLife, Hyatt, etc.) to find enrollment documents.

For most legal insurance members, the attorney fee for your estate plan is covered in full — $0 out-of-pocket. You may have a small deductible depending on your plan tier. Deed recording fees are a government fee and are typically not covered by legal insurance plans.

We are an in-network attorney for ARAG and MetLife Legal Plans. We also accept Teamsters Legal, Hyatt Legal, LegalShield, AETNA Legal, Allstate Legal, US Legal Services, LawAssure, Nationwide Legal, and others. If your provider is not listed, contact us and we will confirm whether we can accept your benefit.

Both are employer-sponsored legal insurance plans that cover estate planning. ARAG is the largest standalone legal insurance provider; MetLife Legal (formerly Hyatt Legal Plans) is offered through MetLife group benefits. Coverage is similar — both typically cover the full cost of a trust-based or will-based estate plan. We are in-network for both.

Some legal insurance plan tiers cover a defined benefit amount rather than 100% of the fee. If there is a gap, we will tell you the exact amount before you engage. No surprises.

Depends on your specific plan. Some legal insurance plans extend benefits to spouses and dependents. Retirees may have continued benefits through a former employer. We can help you check during the verification step.

We also offer flat-fee plans for clients without legal insurance coverage: $950 for a will-based plan or $1,950 for a trust-based plan. No hourly billing, no add-ons. Contact us or get started with the quiz to see your options.
