Terms of Service
Last updated: April 1, 2026
By using the Express Estate Planning website (expressestateplanning.com) and services, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the site or services.
Services provided
Express Estate Planning provides Oregon estate planning legal services through licensed Oregon attorneys. Website content — including blog posts, guides, videos, and FAQs — is for educational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Legal advice is provided only within the context of a formal attorney-client engagement.
Attorney-client relationship
An attorney-client relationship is established only upon execution of a written engagement letter and acceptance by the firm. Submitting a contact form, insurance verification request, or workshop registration does not create an attorney-client relationship and should not be treated as such.
Legal insurance coverage
Legal insurance coverage is determined by your individual plan terms as administered by your legal insurance provider, not by us. We will verify your coverage as part of the engagement process, but we make no guarantees about the extent of your benefits. Any amounts not covered by your legal insurance plan are your responsibility.
Scope of services
Our services are limited to Oregon estate planning document preparation. We do not provide financial planning, tax advice, Medicaid planning, or legal services outside Oregon. References to other professionals (financial advisors, CPAs) are for informational purposes and do not constitute referrals or endorsements.
Document accuracy
The accuracy of your estate plan depends significantly on the information you provide in the intake questionnaire and attorney meeting. It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information. We are not responsible for errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client.
Intellectual property
All website content — text, videos, guides, checklists, and design — is owned by Express Estate Planning and may not be reproduced or distributed without written permission. Client documents drafted as part of a legal engagement are owned by the client.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law and professional responsibility rules, our liability for website-related claims is limited to the amounts paid to us in the preceding 12 months. This limitation does not apply to legal malpractice claims, which are governed by Oregon law and professional responsibility standards.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Oregon law. Any disputes arising from these terms or the services shall be resolved in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon.
Text messaging
If you opt in to receive text messages from Express Estate Planning, you agree to the terms of our SMS/Messaging Terms. We may send appointment reminders, verification confirmations, and follow-up messages via SMS or MMS. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining our legal services.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
